It very much depends on what you are looking for and what you mean by ‘best’. If best means cheapest then most often than not, University hostels are going to be cheaper – in some cases significantly more cheaper. You sometimes have a choice of types of University hostels as well, to accommodate dependents or a personal need for example. There are other benefits particularly for international students to choose a University accommodation. Having said this, there are also many other reasons why a University hostel may not be suitable, or desirable, or in some cases not available. When applying to a University, the accommodation element should be given its right due as otherwise your choice could be very limited by the time you decide on what is best for you.
